If there's going to be a deal, it will almost certainly involve a degree of join-hands-and-jump-together to get it passed the House, with the support (I say again) of Obama, Reid, McConnell, Boehner, and Cantor. Maybe it is too obvious to state, but here goes: The name-calling and chest thumping and motive questioning are not likely to lead to a compromise.
