Playing in Iowa

Romney announces new Hawkeye State backers.

Boston, MA – Mitt Romney today announced new members of his Iowa Leadership Team.

“I am proud to name new members to my Iowa Leadership Team,” said Mitt Romney. “I look forward to working with them as I spread my message that President Obama’s policies must be reversed and that we need new leadership to get the economy moving again.”

“It is an honor to be named as a member of Mitt Romney’s Iowa Leadership Team,” said Gary Grant, former District Director to Congressman Jim Leach.  “I look forward to working alongside the campaign and the rest of the Iowa Leadership Team as we work to spread Mitt Romney’s message across Iowa. It is clear that Mitt Romney is not only the candidate best qualified to lead our country toward an economic recovery, but that he also has the integrity and strength of character to face the challenges our next President will encounter.”

New Members Of Mitt Romney’s Iowa Leadership Team:

Former District Director for Congressman Jim Leach, Gary Grant, Cedar Rapids
President of Rock Communications and ColorFX, Jon Troen, West Des Moines
Woodbury County Activist, Brett Lyon, Sioux City
Harrison County Activist, Don Blackford, Logan
Former Republican Party of Iowa Victory Field Director, Heather Fransen, Cedar Rapids

Still the second-most (or third-most) likely outcome (after Romney winning slow and ugly) is Romney dumps late money into Iowa, wins the caucuses as the only strong Establishment choice, wins New Hampshire, and sews the thing up before March 1.
