ROMNEY CAMPAIGN STATEMENT ON WHITE HOUSE REMARKS

Boston, MA – Romney for President Campaign Manager Matt Rhoades made the following statement in response to White House adviser David Plouffe’s remarks today:

“We understand the difficulty of working for a president who is challenging Herbert Hoover’s place as the greatest job terminator in U.S. history. Mr. Plouffe has our deepest sympathies. If he’d like his candidate to discuss real issues, Mitt Romney will debate President Obama any time, any place.”

Put it in the bank — the Romney campaign for the foreseeable future (read: “the duration”) will mention Hoover, jobs and the prospective Obama-Romney general election matchup every chance it gets.
