Afghanistan, Libya top the agenda in Carney’s session with reporters
Highlights:
The President has not yet made a decision on the pace and scope of the drawdown in Afghanistan.
United State's "assist role" in Libya does not meet the war powers resolution hostility threshold requirements. The White House has done an "excelling job" in consulting with Congress over the mission.
"The administration believes that the Greeks and the Europeans have the capacity to deal with these (economic) challenges, and we continue to believe that they can and will."
On his golf match: the President "felt good about it" and " enjoyed winning with the speaker."
Says he is "confident" Congress will vote to raise the debt-ceiling.
