Bachmann: "I have great respect for Governor Palin. I consider her a friend. And if she gets in, she gets in. That won't do — that won't impact whether or not I get in or not."

Pawlenty: "I can’t control what other people are going to do or not do. All I can control is my effort...I know who I am and why I’m running, and what our message is, and I believe that’s going to prevail."

Karl Rove: "I don't think she thinks the rules apply to her. She doesn't need to have the traditional trappings of a presidential campaign. No finance committee, she can raise the money. She doesn't need to go shake a lot of hands in Iowa, New Hampshire or South Carolina."
