Halperin's Take

The higher the marks the president (deservedly) gets for his handling of the bin Laden operation, the more amazing (but not surprising) it is that he did not get a significant bump in his overall approval ratings since last Sunday. Obama cares more about the results than his poll numbers, but his political advisers have to be at least a wee bit concerned that such a dramatic event engineered by a tough commander-in-chief can do almost nothing to nudge the 50-50 national divide.
