The political establishment and much of the media continue to discount the Gentleman from Georgia’s chances of being the Republican standard bearer. But he still is in the first tier of candidates in name ID, ambition, ideas, anti-Obama energy, and, probably, fundraising. If his mouth stays (read: “gets”) disciplined, Gingrich will be a player – and probably a finalist – in this contest.
