New Hampshire is vital to Romney's chances to be the Republican nominee. His strength in this poll is with independent and unaligned voters, who are a big part of the New Hampshire electorate -- and, nationally, a big part of the up-for-grabs voters that the president needs for re-election. So, all around, this survey is about the best news Romney has gotten lately.
