Trump is a great intuitive politician. He gets a great crowd reaction when he hits China — and when he plays to the birther crowd. For whatever reason, even Republican presidential candidates who pander to the right on almost every issue aren't willing to make the birth certificate appeal, despite the huge resonance it has in the party.
