At times such as these, the president benefits from the no-drama-Obama ethos that he demanded (and has largely gotten) from his foreign policy team. Gates and others might not be that crazy about the use of US forces in this case, but in public, there is the kind of unity that hasn't always existed in past administrations. Clinton exemplifies it; Obama demands it.
