There still is not enough good news on the job front for the administration to get all politically excited, but the White House has pivoted off the need for better data towards the relentless repetition of the Obama "competitiveness" agenda, knowing that it will be difficult for Republicans to match him rhetorically. And pro-trade, pro-education, pro-business tax cuts sounds like a pretty strong centrist agenda. Just ask Bill Daley.
