ROBERT MENENDEZ STATEMENT ON PATTY MURRAY CHAIRING DSCC
U.S. Senator Robert Menendez released the following statement congratulating Senator Patty Murray on being named the Chair of the DSCC for the 2012 election cycle:
“Senator Murray will be taking the helm here at the Committee at a critical time for Senate Democrats and there’s truly no better choice. In 2010 we proved that strong candidates running aggressive campaigns can beat expectations. We faced very strong headwinds this November, but we held-off Republicans because we outraised the other side, our candidates defined their opponents early, and each of our campaigns stayed focused on the economy. Patty Murray ran a smart, aggressive campaign – a model for what all of our incumbents need to do in 2012 to be successful. Patty is a great senator, a true fighter, and will no doubt have another strong term as Chair of the DSCC.”
