For Reid to beat Angle, he needs to turn out large numbers of union and Hispanic voters – and win a very high percentage of them. Over many years, the Majority Leader has worked loyally with the White House, his colleagues and the party’s key constituency groups, and they are rewarding his allegiance with tremendous support, in money, visits and energy. Reid won’t lose for lack of national Democratic backing.
