Carly Brings in the Cash

Fiorina raises nearly $9 million in third quarter.

SACRAMENTO, CA - U.S. Senate Candidate Carly Fiorina today announced that her campaign committee, Carly for California, and the Fiorina Victory Committee, a joint campaign committee between Carly for California and the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), raised more than $8.9 million combined in the third quarter of 2010.

"The success of this campaign's fundraising over the last three months is a testament to just how competitive this race is and to Carly's strength as a candidate. Carly is thankful to all of the people who have invested in her candidacy with their time and their treasure," said Carly for California Campaign Manager Marty Wilson. 

Carly for California raised $5.86 million, finishing the quarter with more than $1.8 million cash on hand, and the Fiorina Victory Committee raised $3.049 million. To date, the NRSC has committed to spending $4.8 million in coordinated funds to support Carly's campaign. "Despite the fact that Barbara Boxer came into this General Election campaign with 11 times the cash on hand and has outspent us 2 to 1 airing her deceptive and nasty attack ads, this race is in a virtual tie even in traditionally blue California with just 18 days to go," continued Wilson. "Our fundraising continues to be strong and we are confident that we'll have the resources to continue to communicate with voters about Barbara Boxer's 28-years of hyper-partisanship, failed leadership and the opportunity this year to change Washington by voting to replace her with Carly Fiorina - who will go to the Senate to reach across the aisle to get things done."

• Total raised: $5.86 million
• Cash on hand: $1.819 million
• Total donors: 27,000 giving 45,000 individual donations
• Percentage of donors giving $250 or less: 93 percent
• Average donation size: $129
• Raised online: $1.7 million
Since the start of Carly's campaign:
• Total raised: $10.9 million
• Total donors: 43,000 giving 64,000 individual donations (Donors in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and American Samoa; Donors in nearly 900 different cities and towns across California)
• Number of donors giving $250 or less: 37,000
• Average donation size: $170
• Raised online: $2.57 million
