Make no mistake: Haley Barbour is the best fundraiser in the Republican Party today. Better than Sarah Palin. Better than Mitt Romney. Better than Newt Gingrich. There are a lot of really close, important gubernatorial contests still on the board. This cash is going to tip the playing field in many of them. One more thing: It is going to be interesting to see what donors gave to contribute to this amazing total.
