Whitman camp: “an appalling and unforgiveable smear.”
Brown camp: “…our language was salty. We apologize.”
The political world is watching to see if Brown owns up to saying the word (or who is ID'ed as the speaker). Also: Does Whitman use a press event and/or paid media to try to make this a game-changing moment? She is behind and needs something to give her a boost -- and to change the frenzy focus from her nanny.
