Stocks Up on Durable Goods News

The Dow is up more than 150 points Wednesday, following news that orders for big-ticket items grew 3.4% last month.

It’s the first durable goods rise in six months. Experts had expected a drop.

Plus: The Commerce Department says new home sales also rose last month.
