UN Wants Stronger Leadership from U.S.

GETTY

Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon tells the AP he was encouraged by his first meeting with Clinton.

Says that when they met on Monday in Egypt, he pressed for more U.S. leadership on climate change, the Middle East, chaos in Somalia and justice in Darfur.

“Policy-wise, we will fully cooperate, but at the same time we expect U.S. support for the United Nations politically and financially.”
