Obama on Iraq: “I Don’t Want to Look Backwards”

The president tells PBS’ “The NewsHour” he’s not going to harp on mistakes, U.S. military was “successful” in Iraq “without equivocation.”

Dismisses Democrats’ withdrawal plan criticism, saying “they maybe weren’t paying attention” to his campaign promises.

Admits it’s difficult to send more troops to Afghanistan: “I should always lose a little sleep when I’m making these decisions.”
