California Budget Deadlock Broken


The Assembly quickly follows the Senate in passing the plan early Thursday after a three-month stalemate.

Package addresses the state’s $41-billion deficit with $12 billion in taxes hikes as well as program cuts.

Will now be sent to Gov. Schwarzenegger for signing.
