The Illinois Senator puts the brakes on his listening tour Thursday to “hold private meetings” as calls get louder for his resignation.

Comes after Burris acknowledges he tried to fundraise for Blago while seeking the Senate seat, contradicting his earlier testimony.

Earlier: Senior Illinois Sen. Durbin says in a statement: “At this point, his future in the Senate seat is in question.”

Plus: Burris also allegedly gave state legislators a list of lobbying clients that doesn’t match city or state records.
