Mark Halperin's three things to watch for in presidential politics for Monday, February 16.
1. Watch the Obama administration as it continues to sell its economic plans. Housing, banking and the stimulus are likely to be constants in the White House’s rhetoric this week, so watch to see where the emphasis is today.
2. Watch to see what the press chooses to focus on to define this week in politics. There are lots of different options with smaller stories, so watch to see what the press seizes on.
3. Watch Hillary Clinton’s trip to Asia. She’s in Japan right now, but the visit most anxiously anticipated is to China later this week and her comments about North Korea are likely to continue getting lots of attention. Watch to see what kind of coverage the trip gets and what messages come out of her time in Asia.
