The HHS nominee speaks briefly to reporters following his meeting with Senators Monday.
Says he has “no excuse” for his tax blunders, and adds: “I deeply apologize to President Obama, to my colleagues, and to the American people.”
Also says he hopes the issue can be seen “in the context of 30 years of public service.”
