North Korea Tears Up Agreements

The country says Friday it's ditching its peace pacts with South Korea, in an apparent attempt to press Seoul to give up its "confrontational" stance.

Analysts believe the threats could signal an armed confrontation, but only as a way of getting its neighbor to soften its hard-line stance -- and to attract Obama's attention.
