Obama Swings By Ben's Chili Bowl

The president-elect eats a chili half smoke and sweet tea at the D.C. institution with Mayor Fenty Saturday. Asked about the importance of the visit, Obama says: "It means I'm going to get a hot dog." The two joke with diners during their meal. Fenty has cheese fries and water. Read pool report here. Burris May Return to D.C. to Demand Seat

Politico: The Illinois Senate appointee intends to head back to Washington next week and demand he be sworn into office. If his appointment isn't accepted he plans to file a lawsuit challenging the Democratic leadership's refusal to seat him. Adviser says: "Unlike last time, there's now a sense that we've been forced into a corner and must be more direct with Senate leaders." Permalink

Obama: Plan Would Create 3.5 Million New Jobs
