A government spokesman says Israel could accept the French-Egyptian plan for Gaza if the agreements halts "hostile fire" and includes measures to prevent Hamas from rearming.
Earlier: French President Sarkozy says Israel and the Palestinian Authority have agreed to the plan. Israeli officials will not confirm that.
Comes after Israel orders a pause in its Gaza offensive for three hours to allow food and fuel to reach besieged Palestinians.
