Iran Rejects Obama’s “Carrot-and-Stick” Proposal

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman says Obama’s idea of using a combination of economic incentives and tighter sanctions to persuade the country to change its behavior won’t work.

Tells  reporters during his weekly press briefing Monday: “The carrot-and-stick policy has no benefit. It is unacceptable and failed.”

Obama made the remarks during a Sunday interview on “Meet the Press.”
