Two Clinton confidants tell the NY Times that she has decided to give up her Senate seat for the Secretary of State position.

Adds she came to the decision after an additional discussion with the president-elect on the nature of her role.

UPDATE: Clinton spokesman denies the reports, says the two are still in discussion, though the talks are “very much on track.”
