White House: No TARP Funds For Auto Makers

Spokeswoman Perino reiterates Wednesday that the president still doesn’t support opening the Troubled Asset Relief Program to auto manufacturers, despite a push from top Dems and Obama.

“We don’t think that that was Congress’s intent,” she says, referring to when lawmakers passed the bill.
