Lieberman Considering His Options

The independent Connecticut senator tells reporters after leaving a meeting with Senate Majority Leader Reid that they had a “very good conversation,” will continue discussions.

Says despite his support for McCain, “the election is over” and he agrees with Obama that Congress must unite to get the economy going again, keep America safe.

He didn’t say whether Democrats would strip him of his chairmanship of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.

Plus: In a statement, Reid says some Democratic Senators have “serious concerns,” adds that he and Lieberman will speak to party caucus in two weeks.
