The wire service takes back its projection for Republican incumbent Coleman over challenger Al Franken early Wednesday.

Coleman finished ahead of Franken in the final vote count but the 571-vote margin falls within the state’s mandatory recount law.

State official says recount won’t begin until mid-November at the earliest, will probably stretch into December.
