The Alaska Gov. tells the Chicago Tribune in a rare newspaper interview that not all the facts were reported in the Politico story about the RNC buying her clothing, and insists it was not $150,000 worth. "That whole thing is just, bad! Oh, if people only knew how frugal we are... It's kind of painful to be criticized for something when all the facts are not out there and are not reported." The top Obama strategist tells the NY Times that there was "never any debate or discussion or anything" about his candidate traveling to Hawaii to spend time with his ill grandma. "Barack’s grandmother is one of the formidable people in his life. He wants to go see her on the advice of her doctors. He had to do it now. So we’ll just make do."
