Real men do cry, it appears– at least real candidates do.
McCain and Obama open up to Katie Couric on Wednesday’s “CBS Evening News” about what makes them tear up.
McCain says “I cry regularly” about young people who sacrifice for the country in the military. “My eyes well up, as they are right now….”
Obama says he got choked up at his daughter’s 10th birthday party in July. “I realized, you know, that she was growing up…. My kids get to me every time.”
The two also discuss their opponent’s strengths, as well as weaknesses– read the transcript here.
