McCain Camp: NYT Cindy McCain Piece “Gutter Journalism at Its Worst”

The Arizonan's campaign comes out swinging against the Paper of Record for a Saturday story profiling the potential first lady.

Piece touches on Cindy McCain's apparent distaste for Washington, addiction to painkillers, role in the current campaign.

Spokesman Michael Goldfarb: "...the New York Times fails to cover any new ground or provide any discernible value to the reader other than to portray Mrs. McCain in the worst possible light."
