“I commend the House of Representatives for coming together to pass the economic rescue bill today. I’m glad I suspended my campaign to go back to Washington to help bring the House Republicans to the table.”

Pelosi: “Our eye now is on the future, to shine the bright light of accountability on our financial markets.”
Says she wishes it were a better bill, but “we were dealt a bad hand, we made the most of it.”
GOP House leader Boehner says in morning presser he’s “optimistic” about getting the bill passed but “we’re not going to take anything for granted.”
