Bill Clinton Says Paulson Plan “Not Enough,” Defends Himself on Fannie/Freddie


In his first appearance on “The View” Monday, the former president says he backs the financial rescue package “but it’s not enough.”

Says mortgages should also be renegotiated by the government so homeowners have “a mortgage they can pay.”

Also says Congress blocked his efforts to rein in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
