Politico: The House Speaker has ordered a broad, swift investigation of Wall Street and will demand testimony from Bush administration officials and heads of finance.

Officials say hearings will take place over the next few weeks.

Comes after the Federal Reserve closes a deal to take nearly 80% stake in AIG in exchange for an $85 billion loan to save it from bankruptcy.
