GOP Women Blast “Outrageous Smear Campaign” Against Palin

Speaking at the Xcel Center, McCain aide Fiorina, former Mass. Governor Swift and others say the press and bloggers are seeking to “demean and belittle and demonize” the GOP running mate.

Fiorina cites unspecified reports calling Palin a “cheerleader” and a “good showhorse.” “The Republican Party will not stand by while Sarah Palin is subjected to sexist attacks.”

Says an Obama spokesman has suggested she is a Nazi sympathizer, says Palin’s Social Security number was revealed on the Internet, and criticizes magazine cover featuring Palin.
