The two musicians are scheduled to perform Thursday night in Denver. Both have played a prominent role in Obama's campaign. Wonder's songs have been mainstays at Obama events and Will.i.am is the musical mind behind the YouTube favorite "Yes We Can" celebrity montage. Permalink

At a private lunch Wednesday for donors at Denver's Brown Palace, the former president said, "Last night after she spoke, anyone who helped her were glad they did. And some were sad they didn't." The former Clinton camp spokesman lashes out at the network, criticizing their coverage of the Clintons and skewering Matthews and Olbermann for using his work on Fox to question his Democratic credentials. Obama Boosts Veterans in Montana

The Democrat addresses military families in Billings on Wednesday, focusing on "doing right by" returning troops and hitting McCain in the process. "I had some strong disagreements with George Bush and John McCain about the war in Iraq... but I thought the one thing we all agreed to was when our troops come home that they would be treated with the honor and respect that they deserve." "The fact is, those hundreds of thousands of troops returning home are not getting what they need. It's heartbreaking." McCain camp responds: “Barack Obama’s attacks are no substitute for experience and good judgment...As Hillary Clinton said, speeches are not the same thing as experience." Permalink

JINDAL TO HOLD PRESSER ON GUSTAV

The Louisiana Governor will speak to the press at 6 pm ET on the pending storm. Forecasters warn Gustav could become a Category 3 hurricane and approach the Gulf Coast by Monday. Michelle Obama Helps Send Troop Care Packages in Denver

The potential first lady attends a bipartisan care-packaging event for overseas military while sporting a blue T-shirt that reads, "Supporting The Troops." Watch video of an interview after the event above. She tells the crowd to put a note in each package with a written promise of what they would do at home to honor the service of soldiers abroad.
