TIME's Nancy Gibbs breaks the news that the potential first lady left for the country Monday for a mission with the U.N.'s World Food Program.

She plans to meet with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and visit with wounded Georgian soldiers.

She is set to return late Wednesday.
