Report: Portman to Attend McCain's Big Ohio Rally

PolitickerOH: The former U.S. Representative and oft-mentioned veep choice will join the Arizonan at his August 29 rally in Dayton. McCain is expected to announce his running mate at the 10,000-person rally the day after the end of the Democratic convention. Permalink

Obama Hits Back at McCain at VFW

In remarks to the veterans' group in Orlando, Obama knocks McCain for predicting before the Iraq War that "we'd be greeted as liberators." Also criticizes McCain's attacks on his patriotism. McCain at Oil Rig: Obama "Wrong" on Drilling and Americans Know It
