McCain Open to Pro-Choice Running Mate

The Senator tells the Weekly Standard:

"Tom Ridge is one of the great leaders and he happens to be pro-choice. And I don't think that that would necessarily rule Tom Ridge out."

McCain in the past has suggested it would be difficult for the Republicans to nominate a pro-choice VP candidate.

Also accuses Putin of "the utmost brutality" in suppressing militants in Chechnya. "I do believe that he's hell-bent on the restoration of Russia as a major power in the world."
