Russia Set to Withdraw From Georgia

The two nations’ presidents agree on  a course for withdrawal early Tuesday after Medvedev says Georgia has been “punished enough.”

Bush administration officials tell the Washington Post the Russian peace offering was prompted by the threat of exclusion from Western economic and political institutions.

EARLIER: McCain tells the Fox News Channel that the conflict in Georgia should not be politicized.

Asked about Obama’s response to the offensive, says: “I respect Senator Obama’s views and I believe that it’s important that we act in a bipartisan fashion now.”
