The Senator tells NPR that the McCain campaign's strong response to his "dollar bill" comments concerns him and indicates "they don't have many good ideas."

However, states that he does not believe the McCain campaign has targeted race as an issue.

Also acknowledges that his plan to levy additional taxes on oil companies is not "classic economic theory," but given their recent profits "I don't think that's too much to ask."
