McCain Gets Serious on Taxes

The Arizonan tries to reassure voters on his tax policy after receiving criticism for suggesting an increase in the Social Security payroll tax wouldn't be off the table.

“I want to look you in the eye: I will not raise your taxes nor support a tax increase. I will not do it.’’

His remarks come at a town-hall-style meeting after a tour of the Wagner Company, a Caterpillar dealer in Aurora, Colorado.
