The Illinois Senator holds talks, enjoys some chow with the Afghan President at the presidential palace in Kabul Sunday.

They made no public comment. But an Afghan official said Obama pledged steadfast aid to Afghanistan and vowed to pursue the war on terror "with vigor" if elected.

Obama has criticized Karzai in the past for not doing enough to rebuild his war-torn country.

Shortly after his Karzai meeting, Obama left Afghanistan for the next stop on his overseas trip.
