Bill Clinton's office releases a one-sentence statement saying the former president is committed to helping Obama win the White House.
Spokesman Matt McKenna: "President Clinton is obviously committed to doing whatever he can and is asked to do to ensure Senator Obama is the next president of the United States."
They are the first public comments from Clinton in support of Obama since his wife left the race three weeks ago.
