Obama’s campaign manager says his team wants to focus on the general election and will go along with a compromise to seat Michigan and Florida’s delegates– to a point.
“What we’re interested in is a fair resolution,” he says on afternoon conference call, but adds, “We don’t think it’s fair to seat them fully.”
Plus: Supporters from Michigan and Florida say voters are far more focused on issues like the economy and health care.
Florida Rep. Castor: “People simply are not focused on the delegate issue like the media has been and the insiders have been.”
And: Plouffe also reiterates request for supporters not to gather at Saturday’s DNC meeting site and “create chaos.”
