Obama pledged his support for the security, prosperity of Israel at an event in Washington, D.C. Thursday night for the 60th anniversary of its independence.
"So let us honor the independence of this great nation...and let us renew the friendship between our nations, and the solemn promise to seek lasting peace and security for the people of Israel."
