Bush: Stimulus Checks to be Mailed Starting Monday

President says the Treasury Department will send out or begin depositing the first batch of checks next week.

"Starting Monday, the effects of the stimulus will begin to reach millions of households across our country."

White House hopes the checks will boost the ailing economy.
